Postdoctoral Positions in Condensed Matter Physics (Theory)

 The Institute has openings for postdoctoral positions in theoretical condensed matter physics. These positions are for two years (1+1) and the fellowships are at par with other research institutes in India.

Current  activities of the group include statistical physics, disordered systems, superconductivity, correlated systems, mesoscopic physics, nonlinear phenomena in condensed matter. The permanent group members are Somendra M Bhattacharjee, Arun M Jayannavar,  Kalyan Kundu and Goutam Tripathy.

Selections are made twice a year: March (application deadline: February 28th) and September (application deadline: August 31st). Interested applicants (who have a PhD or will be submitting their theses by the selection date) are requested to send their CV, a brief (1 or 2 pages) summary of research and arrange to have two/three reference letters sent directly   (preferably by email in latex/postscript/text format or by FAX) to:
