Dear Jnan,

Marion and I are so very sorry to hear this tragic news. Of course, we knew that
Sumitra had not been well for a very long time; nonetheless, It is unexpected for
us. She was such a kind and lovely person, with a wonderful attitude and a lovely
smile. It is hard for us to believe that she is no longer with us in person. It must
be harder for you.
Marion has a lot of great memories of her. They got to know each other better in
Geneva. She remembers teaching Sumitra to swim. Of course, she will always be in our
memory and we are blessed to have known such a graceful human being. We wish you and
Ansuman strength to get through such a tragic loss. Life can be cruel but we must
think of the best times we have had with Sumitra. I shall contact you another time
to know more. For now, we wish you forbearance, grace, and peace. Regards.
Marion and Asoke
PS - Thank you for the lovely photo of Sumitra.
