The Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar invites sealed tenders for supply & modification of existing LT Capacitor Bank for auto power factor correction, required for its 33 KV Sub-station, from reputed and registered firms having adequate Experience on manufacturing / maintenance of LT Capacitor Bank. Detailed technical Specifications, Terms & Conditions etc is mentioned below.

The envelope should be superscribed with "Quotation for supply & modification of LT Capacitor Bank required for 33 KV Sub-Station" and addressed to Director, Institute of Physics. The Institute reserves the right to accept or reject any or all tenders without assigning any reason there of.

Last date for acceptance of Tender is up to 15 Hrs. of 19th.January, 2005.

MS channel of size 75 x 40x6 mm for vertical and floor supports complete with tined copper bus bars, heat striking PVC sleeves, bus bar chamber fabricated out of 14 SWG MS CRCA sheet and angle iron frame work with front & back side door,provision for top & bottom cable entry, with two coats of filler
oxide primer and two coats of synthetic enamel painting with following arrangements:-
  1. Capacitor Bank housed in MS sheet metal panel, with built-in APFC relay-12 stages, auto- manual selection, input-400A MCCB, digital Voltmeter, Ammeter etc. Each stage will be provided with start - stop switch for manual mode, indicators, MCCB, capacitor switching contactor, single phase preventer, internal wiring etc.
  2. To fit required cooling fan with temperature sencer and HRC fuse for continuous operation.
  3. Auto / Manual selectable with inter lock arrangement for safety.
  4. Capacitors with discharge registors, contactors are wired with suitable wires to carry peak current without heating.
  5. In comer is connected through MCCB (400A)
  6. APFC Relay 12 stage - GE / L&T / Schneider make.
  7. LT power capacitors-MD XL,440V,3Q,50 HZ - L&T / GE / Schneider.
  8. Capacitor switching contactor with built in resistance to switch three phase capacitor banks --GE / L&T / Schneider.
  9. MCCB, 3 pole (required capacity) for individual stages of capacitors. - GE / L&T / Schneider make.
  10. All internal wiring cables / wires (copper)- Finolex make.
  11. All switches, indicators, HRC fuses - GE / L&T / Schneider.
  12. All meters AE make.

1.2 For rectification & modification of existing 100KVAR to 205 KVAR panel:

a) Modification of existing panel to house the additional capacitors, complete with tinned copper bus bars, heat striking PVC sleeves, with two coats of filler oxide primer and two coats of final painting, with digital voltmeter, Ammeter, control fuse. Each stage will be provided with start - stop switch for manual mode operation, indicators, MCCB, capacitor switching contactor & internal wiring etc.

b)Requirements:-
(i) Replacement of two nos. defective 25 KVAR capacitor.
(ii) Replacement of APFC Relay -12 stage.
(iii) Additional capacitors: 20 KVAR x 3, 10 KVAR x 3, 7.5 KVAR x 2 nos.
(iv) Capacitor switching contactors - 8 nos.
(v) To fit required cooling fan with cyclic timer & HRC fuse for continuos operation.
(vi) Internal wiring, providing required copper bus bar, HRC fuses etc.
(vii) Make & all other technical specifications as mentioned in item no. 1.1

TERMS & CONDITIONS:

  1. The firm should have been registered (copy of certificate to be attached).

  2. The firm should have service center at Bhubaneswar / Cuttack with adequate technically qualified personnel.

  3. The firm should have experience in taking up similar work in Central Govt. / CPWD / Railway / State Govt. & Institutions (list for last three
    years must be furnished).

  4. The firm should have required Electrical License to execute such type of work.

  5. Scope: The scope of the work shall include, supply, installation, testing & commissioning of (i) New APFC capacitor Bank - 205 KVAR
    (ii) Rectification & modification of existing 100 KVAR to 205 KVAR Panel at site (Institute of physics, Bhubaneswar-751005) complete in accordance with the quotation, including all materials, man power, tools, equipment's etc. required for installation, testing & commissioning of the capacitor Banks.

  6. Price: It should indicate separately, basic price, taxes applicable, packing, forwarding, transit insurance & other taxes if any.

  7. Validity: Quoted price should be valid for a period of 90 days minimum.

  8. Warranty: The party should offer a warranty of minimum two years from the date of satisfactory commissioning of the system.

  9. Completion time: The Supply, Installation, testing & commissioning work should be completed within six weeks of time from the date of issue of the work order.

  10. Payment: 100 % within four week after satisfactory installation, testing & commissioning of the Capacitor Banks at site.

  11. Security deposit: 10 % of the total quoted value is to be deposited within three weeks of the placement of the work order in shape of DD or
    Bank Guarantee in the prescribed proforma in favor of "The Director, Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar, & should be valid for the entire period of warranty.

  12. Certified copy of Income Tax / Sales Tax: Registration PAN number and proof of income tax return submitted for last three years.

  13. Deductions: All statutory deduction will be made from the bill amount as applicable.

  14. Acceptance: The authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all quotations without assigning any reason there of.
