About FIBS-2024

The National Conference “Frontiers of Ion Beam Science (FIBS-2024)” is being organized at the Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar from 4-7 November 2024. This conference will focus on the fundamentals of ion beam science and their application in various fields. FIBS seeks to unite Indian experts and researchers in the ion beam community to share knowledge and foster collaboration. We look forward to your participation in this exciting event!

About IoPB

Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar is an autonomous research institution funded jointly by the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) and the Government of Odisha.

Travel Information

The Institute is situated approximately 7 km from Bhubaneswar Railway Station and 9 km from Bhubaneswar Airport. It is located on Sachivalaya Marg, 1 km from Acharya Vihar Square (NH-5), en route to Sainik School. Nearby landmarks include the Doordarshan TV Centre and Apollo Hospital.

Airport to Institute :

There is a prepaid taxi counter at the Bhubaneswar Airport (normal fare is approximately ₹ 500/-)

Railway Station to Institute :

From the Railway Station one can hire an Autorickshaw (or Taxi) to reach the Institute. The normal fare is approximately ₹ 300/-.
