Institute of Physics (IoP), Bhubaneswar, an Autonomous research institute of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, offers an opportunity to bright students to work in exciting research areas in Theoretical and Experimental Physics during summer every year under the Summer Students' Visiting Programme (SSVP).

Applications are invited for the SSVP-2026 to be held at IoP, Bhubaneswar during May 18 - June 29, 2026. The selected participants will work on a specific project in association with faculty members of the Institute. At the end of the programme, each student will present a short seminar and submit a report on the project carried out. Selected candidates are also encouraged to participate in other academic events of the Institute. Selected candidates will be paid an honorarium @Rs. 6500/- per month and free on-campus accommodation along with sleeper class train / bus fare (to and fro) and local conveyance from the present university/institution.
