We participate in the CMS experiment at LHC, CERN, Geneva, as an associated member of the CMS collaboration. The group contributes to the physics analysis, in particular in the areas of Higgs boson physics, top quark physics, supersymmetry, new physics searches etc., development of trigger and object reconstruction, and silicon-strip tracker detector R&D for CMS detector upgrade. The group plays a leading role in the development of tau lepton identification techniques and development of high level triggers in the CMS detector.
Furthermore, we also contribute to the analysis of the cosmic ray extensive air shower data recorded by the GRAPES-3 experiment in order to probe the properties of the high energy cosmic rays.
