It is my honour and privilege to have this opportunity for being part of the Institute of Physics (IOP) – an autonomous Institute under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India.  IOP is committed to create an ambience for nurturing innovation, creativity and excellence within the scientific community. I believe the Institute will continue to train young and ingenious minds to make significant contributions towards the advancement of Science and Technology of our country.

IOP is an Institute of national eminence & international repute because of the salient efforts of all the colleagues. I am confident that all our efforts will grow into remarkable epitomes of achievements and create milestones in academic innovation, high impact factor journal publications, citations and new technological developments for societal benefits. Being an alumnus of this esteemed institute, I feel even more honoured to be able to pursue this endeavour.
