Our Research interests:

LDSCM

Low-dimensional systems in condensed matter:

  • Electronic and magnetic structure of low-dimensional and nanoscale-ordered systems
  • Quantum confinement effects in 2D, 1D, 0D
  • Designing atomically engineered thin films/heterostructures/superstructures
  • Transport in thin films and surface alloys

SCBM

Spectroscopy and band mapping:

  • Spin-orbit coupling, Rashba effect
  • Electron-phonon interaction
  • Band mapping, hybridization, Fermi surfaces
  • Topological insulators and other Dirac materials
  • Unconventional electronic phases in self-assembled superstructures on metals, semiconductors, Graphene, Silicene, Organic films, etc.

SCS

Strongly correlated systems:

  • Magnetism, transport, metal insulator transition and charge ordering in Transition metal oxides, spinels, chalcogenides, titanates, etc.
  • CMR Materials
  • Multiferroic Materials
  • Spin glass behavior
  • Superconductitvity and intermatallic compounds
